Enjoy daily excursions on the MS UDINE from Volkach to the northern Main River Loop. The trips are offered from spring to the fall (April 1 through November 1).
Enjoy a leisurely float past romantic wine towns, the chapel “Maria im Weingarten,” the Voglesburg fortress, to the largest “Bocksbeutel” bottle in the world, located in the middle of vineyards.
The captain of the MS UDINE entertains guests with stories about the river, the boating industry, and the landscape of the Volkach Main River Loop. At the dock #315 – Stammheim (left side of the river), there is a short layover for guests to embark and debark that is especially convenient for cyclists. The boat turns around before reaching the lock in Wipfeld and returns to the dock #306 – Volkach Mainlände in about 90 minutes.
Mondays through Fridays during the Bavarian school summer break, we offer an excursion through the Wipfeld lock, where the ferry is lifted 4.3 meters in 15 minutes, to dock #317 – Wipfeld. After a short layover for guests to embark and debark, it is time to head back to Volkach.
There is a free e-bike battery charging station onboard the ship. However, bicycles are only allowed if there is sufficient room on board for them!
