In the decorated inner courtyard of the town hall and on the forecourt of St. Vitus Church, the “Veitshöchheimer Altortweihnacht” traditionally takes place on the first three weekends in Advent. Visitors are invited to enjoy the contemplative ambience between the wooden huts decorated for Christmas and to warm their hands with a hot drink. In the stalls you will find lovingly handcrafted gifts such as wooden toys and pottery, jewelery and textile works, spirits and spices. Culinary specialties from the partner communities and beekeeping products are also offered. In addition to delicious Christmas cookies, punch and mulled wine, there are also popular crêpes and various hearty dishes to keep you going.
The additional supporting program with Advent concerts, Christmas stories and a guided tour with the night watchman gets guests from near and far in the mood for the season. With handicraft hours and visits from Santa Claus and the Christmas fairy, the little guests can also experience the pre-Christmas period.
