Lively center for art of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries with temporary exhibitions in a former granary at the old port. Awarded with the Bavarian Museum Prize. Permanent presentation of the municipal art collection with a focus on Biedermeier, German Impressionism, Expressionism, New Objectivity, contemporary art. In addition art from the "Peter C. Ruppert - Concrete Art in Europe after 1945" collection, including works by artists such as Max Bill, G. Fruhtrunk, Victor Vasarely, light objects and computer art.
