What used to require muscle power in the old days, now gets done by a Diesel engine. On your way to Würzburg, taking the ferry saves approximately 10km compared to driving through Volkach. But taking the ferry isn’t all about speed, it’s about enjoying a few moments of peace and contemplation.
Ferry Operation
November through March:
Monday through Friday: 6am to 12 pm an 1pm to 6pm
Saturday/Sunday and holidays: 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm
April through October
Monday through Friday: 6am to 12 pm and 1pm to 7pm
Saturday/Sunday and holidays: 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 8pm
